Welcoming God

Are we ready to welcome God as our loving ruler who, as the living Christ, our teacher within, delineates His righteousness into our craving hearts?

Are we ready to welcome God as our living Shepherd who provides the kindness enabling us to witness His Caring?

Are we prepared to invite God as our King who overcomes the evil  within?

And above all, will we accept the righteous one into our hearts who was crucified and is now at the right hand of our creator?

Since sincere Christians desire to serve the same Lord who loves us, we meet, together, in silence to hear our beloved Jesus speak to bring His Everlasting peace into our souls.  Because we are gathered by the Holy One, He gives us the patience to wait on Him and then we do receive loving care as well as guidance, not just for the individual but for the faithful community.

This is different from secular struggles where we attempt to provide answers for the concerns that trouble us.  There are individuals involved in these concerns who do pray - and pray ardently, for the right solutions.  And we do appreciate their efforts.  Often, however, those with the political acumen succeed.  In God's heavenly Kingdom, we become cognizant that the Lord possesses the love and wisdom to overcome human indifference.  That is why we need to obey Jesus to become peaceful and extend  economic help to the unfortunate among us.  And in meeting Jesus we begin to understand that all races and ethnic groups are potential members of His beloved Kingdom.

Small wonder we do welcome God into our lives.
