From: Ohio Yearly Meeting, Peace and Human Relations Committee To: Registrants It is the purpose of the Ohio Yearly Meeting of Friends to encourage youth to thoughtfully consider personal beliefs and testimony against war and violence, and for peace. Should a military draft be enacted by our government, time may be very limited to compile a record of experiences and actions supporting a stand of conscience against war, thus we desire to make available this form and accompanying suggestions. Please read them carefully and seek counsel to help document your "position of conscience." Keep a copy of all you write and send a copy to the above address. This will be filed in safe keeping to document that you have seriously held your beliefs for some time. All papers will be returned to you any time you so request or have need of them. |
