James H. Drummond
01-30-1942 - 05-13-2020
Jim Drummond was one of the first members of Crossroads, having previously been a member of Stillwater Monthly Meeting, and transferring when Crossroads became a monthly meeting. He had long identified himself as a Quaker before applying for membership.
Jim was retired from Mott Community College as Dean of Curriculum. He was the adoptive father of six children. He established the Kathleen Drummond Scholarship and the Alla Operenko-Drummond Scholarship Endowment in memory of his late wives.
He was an avid fisherman and global traveler.
He passed from this life following a lengthy illness and hospice care. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Cade, six children, 12 grandchildren, and great grandchildren and extended family.
Elizabeth Day
04-10-1950 - 11-04-2013
Elizabeth Day was a long-time attender of Crossroads during the years in which we were a worship group. She was an affiliate member of Stillwater Monthly Meeting.
Elizabeth was a devout Christian and a scholar. She is survived by her sister, and possibly other relatives.
Arthur Berk
04-26-1927 - 04-07-2020
Arthur Berk was a long-time F/friend and supporter of Crossroads, and several of his messages appear in our library section. He was one of the co-editors of Traditional Quaker Christianity and of Volumes 4-6 of the eight volume Works of George Fox.
He was a member of Fifteenth Street Monthly Meeting in Manhattan, and an affiliate member of Rockingham Monthly Meeting, having at other times held membership in other meetings, including Middleton. He was long involved with the New Foundation Fellowship, which published a number of his works. He often delivered messages for our website and for The Conservative Friend.
Arthur was well-known and respected among Conservative Friends, and regularly attended Ohio Yearly Meeting events until recent years, when declining health made it nearly impossible for him to travel. He fell victim to the COVID-19 coronavirus and passed from this life just days before his ninety-third birthday.
He is survived by his son Fulton.
