Elwood Dean's Ministry

 In the  Nineteenth Century, Elwood Dean not only labored with Ohio Friends but preached the gospel to the Orthodox as well as those who separated themselves from Christ.  He reminded Friends that first generation Quakers, Fox included, surrendered to Jesus and recognized that He was - and still is - our true foundation whom we need to honor and obey

Elwood reminds us that we need to wait on the Lord for direction in the love of the gospel.  That is why this minister encouraged Friends not only to discern the needs of our brothers and sister in Christ but assist them when they seemed to endure suffering.

To put it succinctly. he was a true minister who served the Lord.
